At the start of the holiday season, Buffalo’s Good Neighbors Credit Union held a donation drive on behalf of the International Institute of Buffalo, which helps immigrants and refugees make a home in the Western New York area through job training, education, resettlement, and interpretation and translation services.

The donation drive ran the duration of December. On Dec. 11, Twipes CEO Al Bozorgi and head of communications and public relations Adam Duke stopped by the credit union and donated 50 packs of truly flushable, truly biodegradable wet wipes to the drive.

“As a cooperative, Good Neighbors proudly upholds ‘care for community’ as one of our core values,” GNCU marketing director Maria Fernandez said of the drive. “This donation drive is a reflection of that commitment and just one of the many ways our people work together to support and uplift our community.”

Bozorgi talked about what it means to give back, particularly during the holidays.

“We’ve long said that Twipes mission of creating a better future for the planet extends to those inhabiting the planet as well,” he said. “Donation drives like this one are a great example of ways we give back to our community and to those in need. The holidays are a great time of year to reflect on what we can do to provide for others.”
