Twipes 2023 expansion part of immense growth shown in Buffalo over past two years

Recently, the Metro — the largest national newspaper in the U.K. — did a feature on New York State, spotlighting Buffalo for its “lively clubs, craft breweries, and world-class art and architecture.” It also highlights Shea’s Buffalo Theatre and the Greater Niagara region.

As loyal Twipes customers know, the company began in London, U.K. to Buffalo, N.Y. in early 2023 after winning the 43North startup competition. Seeing the company’s second home gaining recognition in the largest newspaper circulated in its first home was great sight for the Twipes team. Since the expansion, Buffalo has seen noticeable growth in a variety of areas, including real estate and employment.

In 2024 and 2025, Buffalo was ranked by Zillow as the hottest housing market in the United States of the country’s 50 most populous cities, citing affordability and job growth as reasons for the city’s real estate boom, increasing the prices of homes in the city.

Buffalo also boasts the most new jobs per home built in the U.S., raising its stock even further.

Programs like 43North help to create new jobs in the Nickel City, building the local economy and encouraging more people from outside the Western New York region to call Buffalo home.

“Seeing Buffalo on the rise since we’ve established our second headquarters here has been such a cool thing to witness,” Twipes CEO Al Bozorgi said. “It’s always great seeing the people around you succeed, and the fact that the whole city is prospering is great for the community and great for Twipes.”
